Go to the Gardens
Culture for Children is involved again this year in the national event "Go to the gardens" organized by the Ministry of Culture and invites the school public on Friday, June 2, 2023 to discover two exceptional gardens in the Southern Region: the Hôtel de Caumont in Aix-en-Provence and the Château des Baux-de-Provence.
As it does every year, Culture for children is taking part in the "Go to the gardens", an event initiated by the Ministry of Culture. On Friday, June 2, 2023, children are invited to discover two exceptional gardens in the South of France:
- The French gardens of the Hôtel de Caumont in Aix-en-Provence;
- The medieval-inspired garden of the Château des Baux-de-Provence.
At the HÔTEL DE CAUMONT :
Based on the history of the Baron de la Tour d'Aigues, the historical owner of the Hôtel de Caumont and a botanical enthusiast, children discover the codes of French-style gardens and explore the natural riches of the site thanks to the many activities led by our team of cultural mediators.
At the château des Baux-de-Provence :
Located in the heart of Provence, overlooking the famous village of Les Baux-de-Provence, the Château des Baux is an ancient medieval fortress camped on its rocky outcrop. Children will discover the Quiqueran garden, a recently restored medieval garden.
